The Word of God is alive and active….Hebrews 4:12

ALIVE and ACTIVE  – Therefore, the Word of  God, the great I AM who is  I AM , who was I AM  and will always be I AM, what He says is everlasting.

Today, I will explore one promise that has been repeated in scripture throughout, and one He personally gave me….

I WILL BE WITH YOU….

Abraham:  I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land.  I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised….Genesis 28:15

Jacob:  God back to the land of your fathers and to your relatives, and I will be with you….Genesis 31:3

Moses:  And God said, “I will be with you…. Exodus 3:12

Moses bowing outBe strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the LORD your God is the one who goes with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you….Deuteronomy 31:6

Joshua :No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life.  As I was with Moses, so I will be with you;  I will never leave you nor forsake you…..Joshua 1:5

To Solomon:  And I dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel ….1 Kings 6:13,

David handing over..He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished….1 Chronicles 28:20

We see it verbalized, to name a few, with Abraham, Jacob Moses, Joshua, David…etc.    But a close look at scripture would reveal that this promise was there from the beginning when God created man; whom He created for communion and His glory……Isaiah 43:7, Colossians 1:16 Romans 11:36

In the Garden of Eden, we see a perfect relationship, God being one with man. Then what happened? Sin happened, and caused a separation;  for God is too Holy to remain one with sin ….. Habakkuk 1:13, Isaiah 59:2  Looking at the “breakup”, who took off and hid? ..…Genesis 3:8  Adam.  But even in sin and embarrassment, did God leave or give up?…Gen 3:9   No.  For we read in scripture that the omniscient God, knowing long before creation that man would fall, had a plan in place;  a lamb had been prepared for man’s redemption. That God loved us so much that He foresaw our fall and put this plan in place is indeed humbling.  Angels messed up, but no saving plan was availed for them! But man sins and God reacts!  Hallelujah!

He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake…1 Peter 1:20, Revelation 13:8

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ….Ephesians 1:10, 2:13, Colossians 1:20

And the angels who did not keep their positions of authority but abandoned their proper dwelling-these He has kept in darkness, bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great Day….Jude1:6

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness reserved for judgment and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah….2 Peter 2:4

But choices have consequences and first things first.  Disobedience led to sin which led to death…Genesis 2:17, Romans 6:16.  And since Adam had become too wise, to save him from himself and eternal damnation by partaking of the tree of life and sealing his fate, he had to leave the grounds….

Genesis 3:22-24

What is man God, that you should love him so much?

What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?…...Psalm 8:4

So that Adam should not die for the sin he had committed, an equal alternative had to be found, another life, to redeem Adam’s, and “cover his shame”.. Genesis 3:21-22 or he was to die, as earlier warned for God is not a human that He should lie or change his mind!…..Numbers 23:19     Remember, life is in the blood; skin for their cover was at a cost of a life….Leviticus 17:11 (Later Moses was to be given the same procedure for atonement for Israel, the blood of animals)

But with man left to his own choices, sinned spiraled out of control!  Every living thing was sinful….Genesis 6:12   Therefore, since sin leads to death,   ALL were condemned; Noah’s flood.   Except one man who found favor in sight of God, Noah and his family and seven pairs  of clean animals and a pair each of unclean.

And on leaving the ark, redemption plan started to roll.  Noah immediately built an alter..sacrifice was offered which pleased God…..  Relationship restored! Hallelujah.   From Noah, to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, all built alters offering sacrifice until  Israel built the tabernacle and the people were offered a chance to sacrifice as atonement for their sins, despite of which sin continued, calling for a more permanent solution, and the Lamb of God was sent to save man, opening the way for all who believed,  to the Father.  Through the Oath God first made to Abraham….still ALIVE AND ACTIVE.

– And in your Seed (Christ) shall all the nations of the earth be blessed and (by Him) bless themselves, because you have heard and obeyed My voice…Genesis 22:18

(For the LORD your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your ancestors, which He confirmed to them by oath….Deuteronomy 4:31)

God is a faithful covenant keeping God.  From the beginning, He never left, man was separated from God through a liar who caused the fall of man, bringing about death. But God sent redemption offering life…Hallelujah!

And us gentiles, we are heirs, by the mercy and grace of God, in Christ Jesus through one Spirit, outsiders, brought inside by blood of Christ…Colossians 1:20, Ephesians 2:11-22

We are “ingrafted” with Israel..Romans 11:17,24 and therefore, the promises belong to us by adoption…Glory Hallelujah!

When God came in the flesh, he reiterated IN PERSON at departure like did Moses, and the others etc..

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nation, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN TO THE END OF THE AGE”…

Mathew 28:19-20

Whatever the circumstance, be of courage, He promised He will never leave you!

Glory to God!
