Reposted from 20/03/2017. “In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before, so the king asked me, “Why does your face look so sad when you are not ill? This can be nothing but sadness of heart.” I was very much afraid,”

Nehemiah 2:1-2 NIV

Nehemiah, was the king’s cup bearer. A highly favored position, study reveals, that calls for full trust. So when he appeared before the king with a changed and unusual countenance, the king showed concern. One thing led to another and Nehemiah received the help he needed to travel to Jerusalem to repair the walls, which were in ruins. The King inquired, Nehemiah said a quick prayer and then asked, and the king obliged.

In separate scripture we read of Hadassah, better known as Queen Esther. When the Jews were in danger of being extinct …. Esther 3:13 NIV, her cousin Mordecai called for her to use her influential position, as queen….

– “For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”….Esther 4:14 NIV

Going before the king without approval, was a “life and death” situation, but Esther took the risk. One thing led to another and the lives of the Jews were saved. Mercifully, Esther did not loose her life.

But we read of One, who used His highly favored position, to save, not a buildings in ruins or a people in danger of extinction, but the entire human race. And gave His life in the process. That One, Savior and Lamb of God, is Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the only one it is written, is “in the bosom of the Father”…John 1:18, 6:46

God who loved us the world so much, that He gave His Son to die to save the human race from extinction…John 3:16. But death could not hold the Author of Life….

– “You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.”….Acts 3:15 NIV

Having risen from the dead, He has been given the most highly favored position – seated at the right hand of the Father, and the Most High name….Philippians 2:9-11 from where He promises, to answer our prayers….

– “After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.”….Mark 16:19 NIV

Interceding on our behalf, the King of kings and Lord of lords.

– “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”…John 14:12-14 NIV

Prayer; Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name above all names. Name of Jesus Christ. We thank you Lord, for the assurance that you are seated at the right hand of Father, interceding on our behalf. Receive this our prayer for ****
For it is in Jesus precious name we pray and believe. Amen.
